SCIRI secretary general pays tribute to late Imam Khomeini

TEHRAN (MNA) -- Seyyed Abdul-Aziz al-Hakim, secretary general of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), paid tribute to the late Founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, at his mausoleum here on Saturday.
He later met the grandson of Imam Khomeini, Hassan Khomeini.
During the meeting, Hassan Khomeini welcomed Hakim and extolled his family’s endeavor to establish sustainable peace and stability in Iraq.
He expressed hope the new government’s efforts and the occupying forces’ exit will bring prosperity to Iraq.
Al-Hakim, for his part, expressed his pleasure over paying a visit to the Imam Khomeini mausoleum, hoping that bilateral relations between Tehran and Baghdad will be expanded in all fields.
